¡Welcome! This new educational tool brings together a variety of projects and products sponsored by the Puerto Rican Endowment for the Humanities (FPH for its Spanish acronym) since our beginnings in 1977. To support the essential work of teachers and students of all ages and all locations, we are providing free access to documentaries, publications and TV programs on cultural topics, along with many other resources.
HOW IT WORKS
Using the site:
This site was developed to support teachers, students and parents by providing them examples of Puerto Rican work in the humanities through access to projects sponsored by the FPH over the course of its history. To help you navigate the site, we have divided the material into 4 main categories of media (Video, Audio, Online, Publications), which in turn are divided into subcategories and organized by topic. The table of contents is available on all pages so help enrich the user’s experience.
Formats of the materials:
The material available on this site is presented in several widely used formats. Videos and audio can be streamed using VIMEO. Publications are available in PDF format. Online pages can be accessed through direct links to those projects.
We will continue growing!
This Harvest begins with just a sample of the material we have available at the FPH. We will be adding new material monthly and opening new sections with more content. Meanwhile, every year the FPH will continue to sponsor a variety of new projects, which will be added here gradually.
COSECHA CULTURAL is made possible by the Puerto Rican Endowment for the Humanities (FPH for its Spanish acronym) and the National Endowment for the Humanities.
